Here is everything you need to know about Summerfest and how to participate!

 

1. What is Summerfest?

It’s a big international party, celebrating our incredibly diverse community, with lots of food, crafts, games and live music & entertainment.  A BIG part of Summerfest is the “country booths,” which feature food, decorations, and families from all over the world.

 

2. Summerfest is organized by PARENTS! We have a volunteer team that is open to all! Want to help? Click here and sign-up now!!

 

3. How can I participate?

There really is no Summerfest without “country booths" and we need YOUR HELP to make this happen! Sign-up here to help at a booth!

At your booth you can:

·  Decorate as you choose

·  Prepare any type of food or drinks to sell, if you wish

·  Incorporate game or activities, if you wish

The PTA is happy to reimburse booth organisers for up to €100 in food expenses, or more by arrangement.

4. Beyond the country booths, how can I participate?

We have LOTS of volunteer positions, such as helping to run activities, helping at the PTA Bar, set up & clean up, etc.  Also, our ENTERTAINMENT TEAM is on the lookout for performers!  We welcome ALL to perform (including moms & dads), and we are open to everything, including music of all kinds, dance, juggling, flame-eating…. you get the idea. 

 

5. Is Summerfest a fundraiser?

Yes, it is the main fundraiser for the PTA each year.  The tickets sold support PTA activities all year long, which include programming such as international celebrations, our grant program for students and staff, and regular PTA activities and legal costs.   

 

6.  Can my company help sponsor Summerfest?

 Thank you!!  A company can either help fund an activity or particular aspect of the fest, or contribute for general support.   All sponsorships are gratefully accepted, and sponsors are featured on our website and in promotions at Summerfest itself.
