Do’s & Don’ts!

 

Don’t wash your car in your driveway/or on the street, unless using plain water.  (Contaminating the ground water with detergents/grease etc will be frowned upon)

 

Quiet hours determine when people must keep noise levels down!

In Berlin, these hours are between 10pm & 6am, Sundays & Public holidays.

 

Lawnmovers, leaf blowers, chain saws can only be used from 9am-1pm & 3pm-5pm. 

They can’t be used on Sundays or Public holidays!

 

Only allowed to cut trees from Oct-Feb (not during bird nesting season).

 

Shops are closed on Sundays. 

There are a few Sundays a year where shops are allowed to open and you will see signs for these days close to the opening time.

Local bakeries are often open on Sundays, and nearly all restaurants!
